One of my husband's favorite memories of Mexico is fruit water. It's refreshing and very tasty. You can sweeten it or have it plain with fruit. This recipe is going to be perfect for hot summer days. In winter this is a creative way of making yourself drink more water.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of fresh fruit (I used mangos, strawberries, and pineapple)
- 8 cups cold water
- 1/2 cup agave nectar (if you like it a bit sweeter, add a bit more nectar)
- juice of 1 lime
Combine the fruit, 4 cups of water, agave nectar, and lime juice in a blender and puree it. Pour the juice into a large pitcher and add the remaining water. Stir well. Serve with ice! Store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
